For the love of mascara!

Come on guys I know it’s hard to pick a mascara! There are so many out there!!! Fear not!! Saffron is here to save the day, for choosing a mascara is just like needing to find the right fitting bra! No one likes overhanging boobs or spidery looking lashes… Ew!!
Firstly I want to tell you about my favourite mascara and why I love it so much and then I’ll help you find yours!!
One word, one wand and a million different reasons… INSTACURL. You're probably thinking what on earth is she talking about. Well let me tell you!!
Instacurl is a mascara created by MAC, sorry I should say innovated! It has a wand that you can bend to your will, quite literally! Twist the cap to bend the brush and once bent to your willing way your mascara the perfect curve to hug the contour of the eyelashes. When changing the shape of the mascara you change the shape of your lashes also, curving the brush will give more of a curl to your lashes, whilst the straight brush is more for separating and defining the lashes.

The formula is long-lasting, smudge-resistant and jet black. I can personally vouch for this mascara saying it is watery eye on a windy day resistant tear resistant and does not clump!!! Yes you can also wear it if you are a contact lens wearer. Not only this but it holds all day, boosting your look with plenty of va va voooom. A customizable curved brush fits every eye shape, while a quick twirl provides style, volume and length.
Now… Choosing your own mascara! Well if I haven't already sold you the instacurl mascara then you suck however keep reading. First you must determine how you want your lashes to look, again… What is she laking about?
Things to consider are as follows;
- Length
- Volume
- Colour
- Seperation
- Formula
- The wand itself
- Or even the brand!
There are so many mascaras out there claiming to be the best and unfortunately the only way you're going to know if its the right mascara for you is by testing it yourself! Your great aunt sally may tell you it’s the best mascara in the world but great aunt sally is getting on… Not only that but she has completely different eyelashes to you and probably wants a completely different look with her lashes.
A few tips a tricks in choosing the right one!
- It may sound silly but read the bottle…! If it says volumising and you want something more natural it is 100% the wrong mascara for you!
- Don't buy into these gimmick television adds where the model is wearing false eyelashes 99.9% of the time!
- Read the purchased reviews online, no one tells the truth quite like a hungry woman or a woman who feels she has wasted her pennies!
- Talk to the artists in store, ask them a million questions about the mascara! It's after all their job to know!
- Really know how you want your lashes to look, maybe even get a friend or a makeup artist to look at how your lashes are now how how they think they could look with the right mascara.
- Do your eyes water? Do you wear contact lenses? Really think about the requirement you have before purchasing.
- Finally… Please don't listen to your aunt sally or your BFF who thinks they know everything their is to know about makeup…
Some of you may be thinking… Wow its just a mascara… She's really over thought this and probably over reacting. You are wrong! Only messinggggg well only a little! Choosing the right mascara is important to not having panda eyes or irritated eyes. You want that boy to notice you from across the bar?! GET THE RIGHT MASCARA!!
