Sightseeing & stuffed derrières.

Budapest.

When booking a holiday, you automatically think about… Choosing the destination, budgeting to save and spend, sightseeing and activities, the scary language barrier and finally your traveling companions. Lucky for me my traveling companion, the flurry and my left arm has her head on "right tight". She booked it all for us, we weren't fussed about where we went so Gemma with Claridon Travel told us that Budapest was inexpensive and also a beautiful city to get lost in (Lost in a fun safe way, don't you worry guys). We booked it, sold! £190 later, 4* boutique hotel, transfers, flights and even breakfast! Bish bash bosh! Would recommend Gemma to a friend, the flurry, however… You can't have! She's all mine!!

(The Flurry)

Traveling to Budapest I stressed out the flurry to the MAX if I told you it was kind funny she'd kill me, so it wasn't funny at all… But it was quite hilarious, sorry not sorry Gabriella! I was almost late for the train to the airport and she was almost going into cardiac arrest. Getting drunk at the airport calmed us both down, drinking wine just before lunch isn't frowned upon right? Of course, Saffron gets patted down through every airport security check, not going to pretend I hated it though…We flew with W!zz air, where the air hostesses are hot and they applaud when you land in Hungary… odd I know. (Just don't order the in-flight biffy…!!)

Day one… We strolled to the closed museums, taking pictures of everything like typical tourists and visited the local "zoo/botanical gardens" It was quite sad actually, the "gardens" weren't botanical at all and the ponds were full of dead frogs, we just wanted to take all of the animal's home as they looked quite unhappy, I named them all! Jerry the Giraffe, Ryan the Rhinoceros and Ally the alligator were my favorites! Something to note when visiting a different country, when you ask for chips make sure they give you chips and not crisps… English fail or probably just a Saffron fail... Back to the hotel to chill and stuff our faces with gummy frogs in condolences to the dead ones… RIP froggies!

Day two… We "Hopped on – Hopped off" Budapest's city sightseeing tour buses and wondered around a little, absolutely soaked we shopped and viewed the beautiful sights. A night in Budapest… Budaful… We got dolled up for a night on the Budapest tiles, colourful and classy we found an old ruins bar, meeting an imposter of Rob Becket was the highlight of our evening restoring my faith in the male species, he was apart of a bunch of lovely (dare I say it) Scousers who know how to crab, receive dances off large leather wearing strippers and are also quite well equipped for stuffing drugs in crevices to bring on their jollies… We saw videos we shouldn't have, enough said!! To top off the evening my phone was stolen… not good! All of my amazing selfies of the evening gone!! Cry! Devastated and disheartened we sulked home back to the hotel.

Hungover and heartbroken we again "Hopped on – Hopped off" Budapest's city sightseeing tour buses and ventured around Buda and Pest. Budapest was incredible, so much culture and history in the proud city. The castle and parliament building was such an unbelievable sight, well worth the flight! The friendly residents more than happy to teach us the language with much patience, even if we only come away with two words… (Sia & Kus a num.) Hello and thank you! Also helping us out with the more than confusing money! We must have lost a stone in weight wondering the sights yet putting it all back on trying the local delicacies if we weren't admiring a beautiful building we were stuffing our faces!

On our last day tried to find the kitty cafe, closed. Disappointed we looked for another one and it was closed too! "technical issues" technical issues my tushie!! We ate more food and I had my personal photographer taking all of the photos due to not having a phone, what would I do without her! We flew home, no clapping this time… back in cold, rainy England. Four days was more than enough time, no rushing, late evenings and lovely late mornings! I would recommend this holiday to anyone and everyone, we had the best time and experienced a beautiful culture.

You must venture out there, we cant wait for our next holiday! All suggestions welcome!!

Lots of Love,
Just Saffron.
